BUS DEPOT offers many standard
upgrades that can be made to the bus chassis.
Most of these are
options that the passengers will never see, but by being there
makes their ride a safer and more
comfortable one.
Standard chassis modifications
include air ride systems, sway kits, brake retarders,
focal retarders, fuel fired heaters &
preheaters, fire extinguisher, suppressor & alarm
systems, spare tire carriers, wheel
liners, jacks, automatic chains, exhaust options,
alternators, batteries, jump start
systems, relocation of heaters & battery boxes,
inspections and kneeling front end.
Imagine
the possiblities.
The driveline retarder is a supplemental braking system. The retarder creates a magnetic field in the driveline system to slow the vehicle down. The driveline retarder does require a maximum size battery bank and a high output alternator.
The heaters are made to handle the elements....from sub zero early mornings to chilly late evenings. With the optional timer, the heater systems goes to work before the bus driver ever arrives.
Automatic chains are a highly requested item in the northern United States and Canada. The chain system is engaged by the driver from inside the vehicle. When engaged the tire is actually driving on the chain instead of the icy roads.
